Yes, I am talking to you. All of you.

I am not here to judge. I have sworn to never do such a thing. Instead, I will simply state my observations.

I see someone state their opinion. I see someone else read their opinion, judge it, and VIOLENTLY trash it, simply because it was different. For example, Ferguson.

A dear friend of mine stated that she didn’t care about Ferguson. She didn’t care that it was happening. Not because she was insensitive, but because it simply was not affecting her. And would you like to know what I saw? I saw 16 DIFFERENT PEOPLE tell her to piss off. To take back her opinion, and to change it. Those people even reported her to the staff. It was the nost disgraceful thing I have ever seen.

I have noticed that Tumblr is an incredibly self-aware site. Ok. That is good. But, there is also a limit to how exactly self-aware this site is.

You preach about being open-minded, and yet put people down for an opinion that happens to be not only different then yours, but non-opened minded. They have an opinion. One ‘should’ respect them. I am not judging. I am simply observing.

This site is hypocritical, and trashy.

But it is also cultural, open-minded, and a place to share one’s opinions. Simply beautiful.
